Optical Engineer
- for Optical Competence Centre
Our client, placed centrally in Jutland, is looking for a highly motivated employee with optical engineering skills and experience for their Optical Competence Centre. As part of the team you will help define new techniques to design, develop and improve the components, products and processes. You will be involved in technology research, new product developments and ongoing product engineering for optics released to full production.
Key Responsibilities
- Development of products that meet quality targets and business objectives
- Engineering responsibility for products, including equipment selection, tool & fixture design, process design and procedures
- Responsible for quality assurance, reliability engineering and related technical support for released products
- Participate in sourcing activities to assure component quality and supply chain effectiveness
- You will provide test engineering skills to support both new and existing manufacturing technologies for optics test and assembly
Qualifications
- Solid background in optics/photonics and opto-mechanical hardware
- Experience with optical design from the projection industry or similar business
- Strong interest in optics for LED
- Analytic, creative and practical approach to problem solving
- Proactive team player, who thrives on delivering solutions
- Experience in optical metrology
- Knowledge of geometrical optical systems, thin film coatings, and glass & crystalline materials
- Sound failure analysis, design of experiments, and practical troubleshooting ability. Test engineering experience is a plus
